I know that I need to. My moods took a nosedive the last week, and very self aware that I’m seeking out missing brain chemicals in the form of quick hits! 🙄
It’s understandable. It’s great that you’re aware of it. Most people aren’t. I always turn my phone screen to greyscale when I feel like that. Makes the phone completely unappealing.
One of the beauty’s of having had periods of managing my ADHD and mental health well is that I can see periods when it’s not going so well. I attempted greyscale but it oddly made me feel extremely weird.
I may try periods of just turning it off completely.
Or resort to a good old Nokia with only Snake for entertainment? 😂
I was great with leaving my phone in the kitchen for a while but my one issue is that I love listening to Stephen Fry to sleep (especially after multiple mid-night wakes with kids) - its the only think that lulls my hyperactive brain into relaxation. I've tried a few different bluetooth speakers but none work as well as being able to control the sleep timer from the phone. I must give it a go again to see if the Apple watch controls have improved!
For some reason I can't see your comment here Joseph, but I got the notification about it. I do have a little Alexa but I've never really used it - one part of me doesn't want a smart speaker in the bedroom - the other part of me is laughing hysterically at myself for having an iPhone beside my head on the locker. The joys of irrationality 😂
I’m falling into this trap again.
It's surprising how quick we can right this though. And it makes a world of difference :)

What about Amazon Alexa? Those that plug right into your sockets?
